Go North · S2NAP

Mobilising the African church toward the Sahel, North Africa and beyond.

At MANI 2011 in Abuja the African Church clearly heard God’s call to “Go North”. In 2016 the mandate was renewed in Addis Ababa. It led to the South-to-North Africa Partnership (S2NAP).

Vision

  • Mobilise, facilitate and connect the Church in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Send workers to the remaining unreached peoples of Africa — especially Muslims — locally and in North Africa.
  • Equip the existing workforce of Sub-Saharan African Christians already living in North Africa for outreach.

Values

  • Collaboration — releasing, catalytic and facilitatory.
  • Growing the partnership — drawing in others who share the Go North vision.
  • Closer working — seeking the wisdom and experience of North African believers and encouraging healthy relationships between church leaders north and south of the Sahara.

Strategy

  • Prayer mobilisation — a monthly online prayer meeting.
  • Worker mobilisation — envisioning, equipping, engaging.
  • Compiling useful ministry tools and resources.
  • Two or three meetings and field visits each year.

Go Sahel

From Abidjan 2026, a missionary consultation for the Sahel: mobilising the church for Sahel mission, training “cousins” to reach their peers, covering the Sahel with the Good News, and a refuge centre to welcome persecuted believers with practical discipleship and training in sustainable development.
