Emerging Leaders Network
Opening real leadership pathways for the next generation — now.
The Emerging Leaders Network gathers young Africans who are stepping into leadership in mission. It was one of the strategic networks born at MANI 2011 in Abuja, alongside the Denominational Leaders, African Women in Ministry and Strategic Prayer networks.
Why it matters
More than half of Africa’s population is under 25. The Abidjan Declaration states it plainly: “To every young missionary here present, you are not the future of this movement. You are its present.” It calls on older leaders to open genuine leadership pathways for younger leaders now, “passing the baton with intentionality”.
What the network does
- Connects emerging leaders across nations, regions and languages.
- Mentors younger leaders alongside seasoned practitioners.
- Brings youth voices into national initiatives, regional consultations and continental gatherings.
- Equips emerging leaders for cross-cultural mission, including the Sahel and North Africa.
Emerging Leaders at MANI 2026
A dedicated Emerging Leaders session was held during the Abidjan consultation.
