Peter Tarantal joined OM in 1987. OM is an International, Interdenominational movement working in more than 100 countries and have 2 ships, MV Doulos and Logos 2. They have just acquired the Logos Hope which will replace Logos 2 during 2005.
While stationed mainly in South Africa, he worked for short stints in Eastern Europe.
In 1995 he became the National Director of OM South Africa. He heads up the Emerging Missions Movements for OM International. He is currently the co-ordinator of WENSA (World Evangelisation Network of South Africa), an umbrella body seeking to co-ordinate missions in and outside South Africa. He has also served for five years as one of the National Executive Members of The Evangelical Alliance of South Africa. As of March 2008, Peter is the Southern Africa Coordinator for MANI (Movement for African National Initiatives).
Peter is also the facilitator for the National Christian Leadership Development Forum which seeks to encourage a new generation of leaders.
He recently joined the Global leadership team of Lausanne Movementās leadership development working group. Peter is currently doing his Masters thesis in leadership. He and his wife Kathi, have a son and a daughter. He loves people and sports of all kinds
